Buffalo Trace Distillery looked to our forebears for inspiration amidst our own period of transformation.  As a trailblazer in the industry, W.L Weller pays tribute to our past while making way for our future.

This dramatic presentation invokes the excitement and anticipation of the iconic ball drop as the stroke of midnight approached 1999.  The brilliant crystal decanter contains whiskey that among the first distilled in the new Millennium, hand-crafted and bottled at 99 proof using the Weller family's groundbreaking ingredient: wheat.  The custom-made crystal topper is hand-etched and evokes W.L. Weller's original signature "W" stamp of quality.  It is encased in an illuminated display case that envelops the whiskey with exactly 99 bursts- a symbol of celebration of the first moments of the new millennium.
